DIY: Metallic Nightstand

Turned my sea foam nightstand into a shiny, metallic one to match my new room. Easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 1: get a little inspiration

Step 2: pick your piece of furniture. I chose my sea foam nightstand.

Step 3: choose your spray (or paint). I chose Rust-oleum “Titanium Silver” Paint & Primer in one.

Step 4: Spray the jank out of your furniture. **Note, I decided to use Rust-oleum “Painter’s Touch Granite Ultra Cover” as the base coat to ensure the sea foam green was completely washed out.

Step 5: Apply 2 to 3 light coats of “Rust-oleum Metallic Paint & Primer in one”. Give yourself about 30 to 40 minutes between each coat.

Step 6: Change your furniture cabinet knobs to complete the look.

  1. LOVE this! I’ve been dying to add something gold metallic into my apartment but wasn’t planning on buying anything new. I am definitely going to give this a try this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
