HOMETOWN Grafton, MA
CURRENT RESIDENCE Lynchburg, VA
Sheri Felipe is a graphic designer living in Lynchburg, VA with her husband Gerry and their cat Lady Wellington. If the temperature is above 72 degrees, you’ll find her outside. Probably riding her teal bike. With no helmet. Otherwise, she’s bundled up somewhere working on design projects.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN LYNCHBURG?
Walking or riding my bike on the trails, weather-permitting of course.
WHO HAS INSPIRED YOU RECENTLY?
Bekah and Noah Barnett, who founded TOOLRY have been an inspiration. They had an idea and just went with it, not knowing how it would turn out. They just knew they had to do it. I like that.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LYNCHBURG RESTAURANTS, AND WHAT DO YOU ORDER THERE?
Rivermont Pizza is my current favorite. The Spinach dip is the best I’ve had anywhere. Ever.
WHAT ARE YOUR GO-TO SPOTS IN LYNCHBURG FOR DRINKS?
Robin Alexander Bistro.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BRUNCH SPOTS?
I’m not big on brunch, but I love breakfast. My two favorites are Koffee Kup (I forgive the spelling because it’s so delicious), and Grains of Sense Coffee Roastery and Cafe at the Community Market.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR ART FIX IN LYNCHBURG?
I work out of the TOOLRY co-working space, in the Riverviews Arts building. There’s more art in this building than in the whole city probably, so I’m set.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE LYNCHBURG STORES?
The are a lot of vintage and thrift stores in Lynchburg. I love shopping in these stores because you never know what you’re going to find. But unfortunately I don’t remember the names of any of them because they are all pretty similar.
WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISTENING TO THESE DAYS?
Andrew Belle, Lord Huron, James Vincent McMorrow, & SOHN are my top plays recently
WHEN YOU THINK OF LYNCHBURG, ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR EMOTIONS THAT COME TO MIND?
Well, yes. It wasn’t my first choice to move here, so my first response would be negative emotions. But I’m trying to make the best of it and have met a lot of cool people here. It’s really the people who make the place. Ask me again in a year or so and I’ll have a different answer. Just don’t ask during the winter.
