Music is pretty important to me. From the minute I wake up to the minute I sleep … music is playing. Bob Marley said it best when he said, “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” I’m not the best at expressing myself — It’s never been my forte but I so highly admire those who can. I think it’s why I have such a deep appreciation for creatives — they seem to find a way to express that which cannot be said yet is impossible to be kept silent. Here’s what’s on repeat on my Spotify playlist:
Left to Right
01: I’m into Jessie Ware’s vocals and overall sound. Wildest Moments is a good one to enjoy anytime.
02: I’m glad I found Bridges by Broods because now I can play it on repeat when I’m in the office trying to knock out a presentation.
03:Télépopmusik’s Breathe has me tapping my hands on the driving wheel with the windows down.
04: Pieces by Andrew Belle is all kinds of right. I mean, when your lyrics are, “I love you, I love you. And all of your pieces.”, you win.
05: The groove and lyrics of Aqualung’s Eggshells are on point.
06: I’m a fan of Mat Kearney which is probably why I really enjoy JUST KIDS.
07: Bell and Sebastian are always a favorite. If only I could see them live one day, sigh. Well, for now, I’ll just dance along to The Party Line cause the music is so right.
08: I stumbled across Human by Aquilo one day by accident. It’s kind of one of my favorite accidents.
What are you listening to these days?
