It’s important to take a step back and realize how truly blessed one is. LIfe is short but sweet. Life isn’t always easy but the people we choose to fill it with make a world of a difference.
I am blessed with a beautiful family, darling friends in Miami, Ohio and other parts of the world. How did I get this lucky? God is truly good to me … I hope I never take for granted the current season I’m in – whether a good one or a challenging one. There is always something to be learned – don’t miss the opportunity to be stretched, no matter how uncomfortable it is for the time being.
Here are photos from my weekend. As usual, the weather was bipolar but we managed to get some pretty decent weather with some sporadic t-storms.
Friday: TGIF, am I right? This Friday I:
- cut my hair
- chugged a delicious Cafe Bustelo iced coffee with a few pumps of Gevalia chocolate syrup thanks to Research and Development co-workers spoiling me
- hit the pool with a dear friend and her mama
- hit the BlueSky drive-in theater for a friend’s birthday bash. hello, Jurassic World
- rode in the back of a truck on a mattress. boom
Saturday: I have some of the best friends in the world. We decided to get together for some baby shower planning, Pinterest pinning and paddle boarding (which didn’t happen due to the rain and extensive baby shower planning). My evening consisted of smashing some serious grilled cheese at The Lockview and dancing to the X Ambassadors – who by the way are so good live.
Sunday – Church, cleaning, running, shopping and well… Father’s Day! Although I’m not home to celebrate with dad I did reminisce through old photos and FaceTimed with the handsome devil. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Blessed to be loved and supported the way I am by my pops.
