Because Leslie Knope is my spirit animal it only seems right to throw a Galentine’s Day brunch to celebrate the great ladies in my life. What’s Galentine’s you ask? Well, according to Knope, “Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, me and my lady friends leave their husbands and their boyfriends at home and just kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”
Here’s how to host a great Galentine’s:
Send it via email or text. Physical invites with a great quote, if you really want to get fancy.
For food, waffles, pancakes and a yogurt bar. For drinks, coffee and mimosas all day. And for dessert, donuts…because who doesn’t love a sprinkle covered donut?!
The Set Up
A photo backdrop, this DIY handpainted table cover and pink and red everything. For an extra personal touch, take polaroids of your guests when they walk in and place them over their assigned seat at the table.
Lipstick & nail polish exchange. Just have your guests bring a $10-or-under lipstick or nail polish for a gift exchange!
Don’t let your guests leave without a little something. Maybe a little Treat Yo Self favor bag with your favorite little treats.
