We’ve all been there. Some days just don’t go as planned. We miss the alarm, we’re rushing out the door to get to work and be bombarded by email and meetings. It can feel quite overwhelming which is why it’s so important to have a way to cope, get refreshed, and back to your happy self. Here are a few of my favorite ways to get things back on track after a rough day.

COFFEE + A GOOD BOOK

Make some coffee or go to the coffee shop. Kick back and get lost in some great words.

NETFLIX 

Now, I know it can be very easy to binge watch. So this one can be tricky if you have zero self-control. But, I find that a quick 30 min episode of The Office or Parks and Recreation can really do the trick.

GET CREATIVE

Relax. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Grab an adult coloring book, sketch your favorite part of your day, draw, journal or blog. The intent really is to bring something, anything to life via your very own hands.

EPSOM SALT BATH

This may be one of my favorite things. Especially when I + a drop of lavender essential oil to the mix. Also, the right book, podcast, or tunes while I soak is must have.

SPEND TIME WITH LOVED ONE

Quality over quantity … any day of the week. There are just some people who calm you, make you feel new, inspired and refreshed. Surround yourself with those people.

GO OUTSIDE / EXERCISE

There’s just something so right about fresh air. Go outside for a walk or run. It really helps clear your mind and your body moving.
