ALL THE THINGS I LOVED THIS WEEK

New Recipe(s): I’m not a cook. I mean, I can read a recipe and assemble food but I do not enjoy it and I barely know my way around a kitchen, even my own. I’ve been eating out a lot more than I probably should, especially since I’m trying to save money this year. So, in an attempt to eat at home more, I decided to try HelloFresh for the first time. Overall, all the meals were great. However, it did require more prep and clean up than I wanted. It can definitely make cooking more fun, especially if you’re doing it with someone you love. If I ever make it in life, I will have a chef. I don’t belong in the kitchen.

Sweet tooth: Valentine’s Sweets are still alive and well in the office. The love month really makes people want to share the things they love, like…donuts, cookies, homemade brownies. It’s quite terrible if you’re trying to be healthy but also so wonderful if you like beautiful, delicious treats.ACS_0004.JPG

Listen to: I’m loving the Joyce  Meyer Podcast, and the recent episode on The Mouth really struck a chord. The heart-mouth connection is real and what comes out of our mouth is typically a direct reflection of what is in our heart.

Local love: If you’re in Akron, check out Jun Kaneko Blurred Lines exhibit at the Akron Art Museum. He has spent decades pushing the boundaries of ceramics, sculpture, and painting, repeatedly blurring the lines that have traditionally separated the world of fine art and craft.

Purchase this: If you have dry skin, like me, you know the winter season is especially tough on your skin. I was desperate for well-moisturized and hydrated skin and was running out of options until I tried Mario Badescu’s Protein Night Cream. Hello, hydrated, smooth skin!
