I’ll be going on vacation very soon and I’m in full planning mode. From packing lists to itineraries, I’ve got my heart set on quite a few activities for my upcoming trip to Cartagena, Colombia.

It’s no wonder I’ve spent hours upon hours looking at inspiring photos and reading blog posts from some of my favorite travel photographers and bloggers.

Here are a few of my favorite posts:

Brooke is a travel blogger who found ways to save a lot of money to pursue her calling of traveling the world. In her honest post, “50 Ways I Saved (a lot) of Money To Travel The WOrld”, she said:

“I stopped paying $5 for coffee…I stopped meeting friends for dinner…I sold my car and hitched a ride to work each day,” she wrote. “I was brutally economical. I wouldn’t use the lights during the day, would have shorter showers, and even charged my devices at work instead of at home. I was on a mission to save everywhere, all the time, on everything.”

One of the best things to do while traveling is eating. I have so much respect for Melissa’s way of capturing her travel on Instagram – no selfies, no people, just straight up delicious food.

This is one of the leading Instagram accounts devoted to travel. There’s no question why the account has generated so many followers – the photos are stunning. You’re reminded how small we are in comparison to the beauty that is around us.

Kiersten Rich quit her corporate finance job to become a travel writer, on the go nine months out of the year. She’s great to follow, not only because of her photos and travel tips but because she continually inspires her followers to enjoy life to the fullest.
