Weekend Recap

Spent the weekend in Columbus, OH and I was not disappointed! My friend and I had been wanting to do a weekend trip for some time but never really got around to it until now. We spent Saturday with her family as well as eating our way through the city – thank you, food crawl! We got lost in a 32 room book store (so wonderful) and walked in and out of some adorable local shops.

Sunday we spent it at the first annual Columbus Coffee Fest. Here are some photos from our quick trip. I wish I would have documented more of the food but lighting was a real struggle in some of the venues.

Weekend Recap

My friend, from Miami, of 14 years came to visit me in Ohio. It was a wonderful time spent talking, laughing, signing, cooking, hiking, and just overall goodness. I love having those people in your life that just get you – they know what you’re thinking and feeling before you even do. Here are a few photos of our time together. Already looking forward to her next visit.

Weekend Recap: Hocking Hills, OH

14 of us spent time in a cabin in beautiful Hocking Hills. It was a blast to be surrounded by wonderful people. We really are so blessed to be able to take a break from our hectic everyday lives to enjoy a weekend with food, friends, and adventure. We’re hoping this will be an annual thing. Here are photos from our little weekend getaway!DSC_0009 editIMG_0074.JPGDSC_0021DSC_0027DSC_0052

Travel Recap: Columbus, OH

Guys, I’m so good at falling behind on my blog. Truth is, I’ve been quite busy – in a good way. I’ve been traveling for work and personally, I started volunteering at the hospital (yay!) and have had quite a few birthday celebrations to plan and host. Truth is, I can’t believe we’re already in May. You know what they say… Time flies when you’re having fun.

Here are a few photos of my day trip to Columbus.

Weekend Recap

There’s nothing better than the weekend. Whether it’s jam-packed with activities or uneventful… it’s a nice break from the Mon.-Fri. routine. This weekend was pretty low-key & I loved every minute of it.

Friday– Fridays are rough for me because, well, quite frankly its the ending of a long work week. Nothing sounds more tempting than pizza, a movie and jammies on Friday night. However, this week I decided to push myself and not bail on friends in order to join them for dinner at TownHall, which had a fantastic crowd (despite the cold weather) and great tasting food. I’m glad I went. This doesn’t mean I’ll be repeating it next Friday.

Saturday– Most of friends know I like to sleep in on Saturdays so they don’t typically text me until after 11am. Maybe I should rephrase that, they probably do text me before 11am I just don’t see it until I wake up and shut off my Airplane mode. In any case, this Saturday I joined a friend on some errands, which included: shopping, Costco-ing, donut eating, YouTubing and wedding planning.

Sunday¬†– I love Sundays, .even though they usually mean the weekend is coming to an end. I love going to church, eating a good meal and spending the rest of the afternoon/evening reading a book, sipping on coffee or wine and then Skyping with family and friends. This Sunday consisted of exactly that … plus a little redecorating around the apartment.

Yes Please

A snow storm was supposed to hit us this weekend so in preparation for that, I purchased Amy Poehler’s, “Yes Please”, which I CANNOT wait to read. I also decided to install my new bar cart and add a little twinkle to my bedroom with Christmas lights.

Weekend Recap

My weekend was exceptionally fun. I spent the majority of my time outdoors! I’m a master at sleeping, however, this weekend I decided to jam pack it with outdoor activities and I’m so glad I did. Here are some snaps from night skiing, snowshoe hiking and delicious treats in Chagrin Falls.
